Hey there! I'm an insurance professional by day, and a family-oriented, wildlife-loving artist by night. Spending time with my teenage daughter, stepson, partner, and family is everything to me. We share laughter, love, and the chaos of our busy lives.

My evenings and weekends are dedicated to volunteering at the Port Stephens Koala Hospital (PSKH). Whether it's rescuing koalas, caring for injured wildlife, or just helping out, it's incredibly rewarding work that keeps me grounded and connected to nature.

Art has always been a part of me. During high school and for a few years after, I loved drawing and painting, mostly figurative and portrait work. Life got busy, and I had to put my art on hold.

Everything changed when my daughter was just three months old. She developed a serious eye condition that made her extremely sensitive to light. We spent months indoors, often in complete darkness. As a single parent, those times were tough and lonely, but it was also when I rediscovered my passion for art. At night, while she slept, I started drawing again. My wonderful sister Denise Duffy gifted me an oil paint set, and my artistic journey was reignited. Art became my therapy and a way to bond with my daughter. Even when it was too dark to see, we painted together. I'd describe the colors to her, and we'd create beautiful memories. Making my own pigments became a special part of my process, adding a personal touch to my artwork.

In 2020, I started volunteering at PSKH and learned about the specific types of eucalyptus leaves that koalas eat. Inspired by this, I began making Eucalyptus Leaf Ink to use in my portraits of the animals we care for. Now, my main focus is on creating art featuring Australian wildlife, using native leaf ink collected from leftover koala food leaves at PSKH. My art sales not only funds my art practice but also supports PSKH.​
